Deep TMS treatment uses magnetic pulses, like those from a MRI machine, to activate several areas of the brain thought to play a role in depression and improve their overall functioning. Compared to regular TMS, Deep TMS uses a H-coil magnet design to reach more surface area of the brain, as well as penetrate to deeper structures within the brain.
